FOR YOUR FOX GUN
In 2013, Jason Barden acquired the complete stock of Mitzie Bielen’s A.H. Fox factory surplus parts, wood, and barrels. (See p. 283 of McIntosh’s A.H. Fox: “The Finest Gun in the World”.) These are original A.H. Fox N.O.S. (new old stock) parts manufactured between 1900 and 1940, correct for all graded A.H. Fox and Sterlingworth shotguns, including both Philadelphia and Savage/Utica production.
The inventory has been carefully preserved in original factory wooden boxes and bins, many still bearing their original tags and labels. Most parts will require fitting, polishing, and final finishing.
For safety, all parts must be fitted, installed, tested, and proofed by a qualified gunsmith. Assembly, alteration, or restoration work should only be performed by a highly skilled gunsmith with an FFL who specializes in side-by-side double shotguns. Any attempt by an unqualified individual to build or alter a firearm may result in serious injury or death.
